Ingredients:
4 cups organic rye flour (eg. Kialla Pure Foods)
1 1/2 tblsp baking soda
2 tblsp egg replacer
1 tblsp blackstrap molasses
2 cups cruelty-free milk e.g. rice or soy
1/4 cup crushed mixed nuts eg. pepitas, walnuts, almonds
Method:
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a 5 x 7 inch bread tin
Sift the flour, baking soda and egg replacer 4 times
Add the blackstrap molasses and milk, mix well
The mixture may be sticky so add a touch more flour if needed
Place the mixture into the greased tin and press the crushed nuts on top
Bake for 1 hour
