VLV Updates
Last week I was finally able to make it up the Sunshine Coast to have lunch at It's Rawsome Cafe in Maroochydore after over a year of knowing about the place. Rhys and I had a great road trip adventure up the coast from Brisbane and here's some photos of what we ate.
We started with the Raw Nori Rolls AU$16 - Asian greens, sprouts, avocado with a tumeric, carrot and almond pate wrapped in organic Nori sheets:
There were many great options on the menu
As you can see above and below:
Rhys and I also decided on the Falafel Wrap AU$16 - Live zucchini wrap with sprouted pepita falafel, fresh greens, tomato, marinated vegetables and tahini creme sauce, topped with tzatziki sauce:
I'm not really a fan of cheese much, but I do love their raw cashew chili and lime cheese (currently getting re-branded) - it's definitely my favourite! So Rhys and I also ate the Cashew Cheese filled Beetroot Ravioli AU$16 - Marianated beetroot filled with herb cashew cheese served with sundried tomato marinara and basil parmesan cheese with a side of greens:
I would have liked to have tried one or two of their drinks but thought it was more important to make room for dessert! Rhys and I shared the Key Lime pie AU$7:
And Raw Lemon Meringue AU$7:
Rhys and I loved all of our meals and had a great chat to the very passionate owners Gerald & Susanna afterward. Susanna's paintings line the walls of the cafe and she also offers (not) Cooking Classes (click on the pic below to find out more)
It's Rawsome Cafe is open on Wednesday to Sunday from 11.30am-2:30pm and located at 522 Petrie Creek Road
