Local Brisbane children's musician and storyteller, Renata is launching her latest DVD Go Green with Renata at the New Farm Park rotunda on Sunday 9 October from 3pm - 5pm

Go Green with Renata is the second DVD release from popular children’s entertainer, Renata. The DVD combines her passion for children, education and entertainment with catchy songs and funny stories to encourage children to be more environmentally aware.
 
Watch Renata show children how easy it is to help our world be green, clean and how to keep it that way. Renata and her clever animal friends unite to inspire future generations to look after the environment. Interactive, original songs featured on the DVD include I Love Animals, 2 Fruits 5 Veggies, Birthday Party, My Own Two Hands and Renata’s latest funky Go Green Rap song.
 
Renata’s friends Billy the Bodybuilder and Roushini the Green Genie share their great green food tips. Seashell the Mermaid visits to talk about ocean care and Little Green Thumbs shows how gardening is great. Join Renata and her little people friends with singing, dancing and participating in fun, green education.

Many local Brisbane artists are playing important parts in the making and creating of Renata's latest DVD.

From Nick Douglas from Nicks Pixels who has had the painstaking job of editing (something I detest) plus Nick also filmed, helped Renata produce, was the Director of Photography, First camera operator, was in charge of the lighting, sound and green screen. Phew. Here's a pic of Nick:

I've been working on the DVD with Renata for awhile now. Before I left for my US adventures I was working as the Project manager and script supervisor. Since coming home I've been working on the Art and Content with Adele Walker plus organising the Media and Promotion. In the DVD I play Seashell the Mermaid who speaks about ocean care. You can see my makeup video HERE.

About Renata:

Children’s musician and storyteller, Renata has been a professional in the Early Childhood Industry since 1991 in Australia and overseas. Renata's passion for children, education and entertainment is contagious as she instils important messages for young children in her musical shows. Renata has written over 12 different types of shows including The Power of Words, a show about bullying, using positive words, and communication that has been accredited for Prep to Grade 2 classrooms by Education Queensland. With her original songs and stories Renata has designed her shows to entertain and educate, encouraging the children to be involved in each story.  

Renata’s themes in her shows reflect her passions: taking care of the environment, multiculturalism, family issues, healthy eating, animal welfare, and co-operating with peers. She has performed her popular children’s shows and presented her workshops for teachers at many venues, childcare centres, schools, preps, community centres, conferences, seminars and festivals.  

Renata travels all over Australia to perform, speak at conferences, deliver workshops and in-services plus she has released CDs and DVDs that compliment these workshops.

As always, the immensely talented and artistic, Adele Walker, has worked with me designing everything including the DVD cover, postcards, poster plus the bonus colouring in poster that comes with the DVD. Here's a gorgeous photo of Adele:

Free, Fun, Family-Friendly Green Entertainment to launch new kid’s DVD

Children’s musician and storyteller, Renata, is launching her new DVD Go Green with Renata with a free family-friendly event from 3pm-5pm on Sunday 9 October. Renata will be performing a free live show with band at the iconic New Farm Park rotunda featuring her interactive, original songs included in the new DVD.

The Go Green with Renata DVD combines Renata’s passion for children, education and entertainment with catchy songs and funny stories to encourage children to be more environmentally aware. Go Green with Renata has been in production for most of this year with many local Brisbane children helping Renata show how easy it is to help our world be green, clean and how to keep it that way.

“I’ve been working hard with my film friend Nick on this DVD,” says Renata. “I can’t wait to share my new DVD with the children involved, their families and all of my friends who have seen me perform at their schools.” Renata hopes to see you and your family at the New Farm Park rotunda for a great day of green fun and entertainment for all of the family.
