VLV Updates
Once again some friends and I took our families to the Loving Hut Mother's Day buffet to celebrate Mother's Day. Even though Eric didn't deliver on his promise of the now-no-longer-available-at-Loving-Hut-Mt-Gravatt Singapore Noodles being available for all to consume on this day only, he once again out did himself with the menu (including the punch below):
At AU$28 for adults, AU$14 for kids under 12 and free for kids under 5, the all-you-can-eat vegan buffet is quite good value. My not-for-profit environmental awareness group, Green Earth Group had arranged for a few of us to attend with our mothers and families for the lunch session at 11:30am - 2:30pm and there was also an evening session from 5-8pm. I first went to the hot food section to get some of the below. Spaghetti with fake seafood, DIY tacos, fried rice, burritos:

other DIY taco options:
There was a variety of salads, dips and sauces (sorry the photos are after people had been eating, should have taken them before most people arrived)
As well as a variety of mock meats:
Two varieties of soup, minestrone and mushroom:
Plus a wonderful sago pudding with raspberry coulis:
Loving Hut is a great place to bring family and friends, particular non-vegans as there are many vegan versions of mainstream dishes. The Mount Gravatt restaurant in Brisbane's southside is always friendly, welcoming and put on a great spread. Here is our friends and family group below (photo by Dani D) Happy Mothers Day to all.
Now, off to the Brisbane Lions vs Gold Coast Suns AFL game at the 'Gabba!
