There's this lovely movie, Little Voice featuring Jane Horrocks - who most people know as Bubble from Absolutley Fabulous. The film and stage production, Little Voice was actually written for Jane due to the fact that she can mimick some truly wonderful singers exceptionally well.

The movie is about Little Voice (LV) who after her father's death rarely speaks. She listens to his old records featuring wonderful singers such as Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe and Shirley Bassey - and mimicks them well. It's one of my favourite movies.

Here's LV's version of Judy Garland's Get Happy:

Shirley Bassey's Big Spender:

Various songs from various artists:

Only a couple of Jane's songs were on the Little Voice soundtrack - most of the soundtrack was the original singers of the songs. On Jane's CD The Further Adventures of Little Voice, released in 2000 she finally released a wonderful album of amazing songs by amazing artists of yesteryear - it's also one of my favourite albums.
